(More customer reviews)Practically speaking, this iPod accessory is an interesting and simple design. The speakers and the iPod sit in a padded case that provides a low profile. Its lightweight and is the size of a small paperback book. I imagine if you need to share some tunes with co-workers it will work fine but will not rock the house like more complex, heavy and expensive portable speakers.
Yeah it sounds like a 80's mini-boombox. But it produces strong sound for a long time which is great since it uses its own AA batteries. It sounds good when sitting in my Schwinn cruiser as I roll down the beach boardwalk to my iTunes Library! I wish that it connected to the dock connector port rather than the headphone port, but that may be because you control the volume with the iPod which only controls volume via the headphone jack. So press play, adjust volume on the iPod and then zip it closed. The price was right, shipping was fast and the item is as advertised!
