This PC interface board was designed to allow control of your Ademco/Honeywell Vista alarm systems from a computer running Windows, Linux, or OSX. The AD2USB presents itself to your computer as a virtual serial port and only consumes 20-30mA. Just attach the AD2USB to the four wires from the alarm panel or extend the existing alarm panel keypad wires to the device.Once connected, you will be able to arm/disarm the system, detect and monitor opening and closing of zones, unlock or discover installer codes, program your panel, download programming, set triggers for virtual zones and even monitor your alarm sensors directly from your home automation system. You can even backup your alarm configurations to a file. A full ALPHA keypad emulator is included, so you won't need a physical keypad to program the alarm.
