Imagine my surprise when I found it didn't work, and that no recent remote would work. Although the garage door opener was bought and installed in 2003, Marantec changed the frequencies and discontinued the type of remote that would work with its systems. The only option appeared to be either replace the whole opener or buy this conversion kit that would cost just as much as a new opener. Then I found this product.
I was a little worried but at Amazon's super low price, I decided to give it a try.
5 stars. Does exactly what it needed to do. Super simple to install and works like a charm. Now we once again have two remotes that will open our garage door. This product saved me a ton of money!
