I wasn't fond of having to put a rubber hose across my driveway but we live in the woods and a motion activated one would be ringing constantly with all the animals, wind etc. So for the money this was a great option and no false positives. It has worked flawlessly. Very well put together IMO and of excellent quality. The only pain was getting the cover off the alert receiver. Very difficult to do. Only took me about 30 minutes to set up and that was because I wanted the loose ends of the hose buried in the dirt to keep the hose in place. The 9 volt battery I used was a regular Duracell and so far it has held up well for over a month. It has been pretty cold here in Upper, NY. I ordered one of the power lithium batteries to replace the regular battery when it gets really cold.
