(More customer reviews)The item was shipped to me in very little time. I was happy to see that the setup on all the equipment was very simple. Never having installed a camera system before I had mine running in about an hour. I was pleased with the picture quality being the price was so cheap. U think this is a good system for the money. The negative is that each camera has it's own ac adapter. Which means that's a lot of outlet strips and wire hiding that needs to be done. Although I will have to say that probably most systems have the same setup.

(More customer reviews)When this device is used to start a car, this unit is often unable to unlock the doors and even prevented them from being opened with the key. On more than one occassion, it prevented the doors from being unlocked until the engine was shut off, the key was inserted and the original (factory) remote was activated. The remote control is far too sensitive and can easily be inadvertently activated. Whether you put this remote in your pocket or your purse, you can expect that the signal will be sent and that your car will be started when you do not want it to. I found my car "starting itself" so often that I finally had to have it removed. I have had several remote starters that worked without problems. I have also had many satisfactory Viper products. This product apparently has many problems that have yet to be solved.

Downside -> I thought the front of the product that is shown is the button you press to make is go off. It is not. There are two small buttons on the back of the product. If you are attacked, there will not be enough time to scramble for the small button. So, what I do is hold onto it while I walk so that in a split second I can press the right button. The other button will just turn on the flashing red lights with no sound. Also, when I am in a store, sometimes, I accidently press too hard against my purse and the alarm goes off. But I deal with it because just holding it when I walk to my car in the dark is worth it.

1st radio - power supply cord for car malfunctioned after 3 weeks
2nd radio - Antenna began malfunctioning after 1st month
3rd radio - This one was ok for first 6 months however none of the buttons on the unit itself work now except for the knob which can only be turned. Without the remote the radio is useless.
I am happy with the subscription however I would definately buy any other brand of radio. Sirius dock and play radios are terrible.

Requests for help from Pyleaudio were ignored. There was absolute no operations instructions. If you need instruction to install this item, don't buy it. Diagram showed the sensors should be installed with arrow pointing up. If you do that, you will get an alarm despite nothing is in the way. Install the sensor with the arrow down (opposite to the manual instruction), they work fine. There is no adjustment to the volume of the warning, only on or off. It is very loud.

I own a business and needed a "fitting room" type sensor to alert me when customers came through the door.I thought that this device was doing the job although it was annoyingly loud even at its lowest setting. However, it stopped working after 2 weeks. I returned it and although was kinda PO'd that I had to pay to ship it back, I was hopeful that the thing was just a lemon and the next one I would get one would work. I was wrong. (More customer reviews)There are some major issues with the iLuv iMM183 that should prevent anyone from buying this product.
Problem #1: The alarm function is deeply flawed. When you set an alarm for the next morning, the audio system must be off (radio, ipod, etc.). This is terrible because if you charge your phone on the dock and the phone sends a sound signal to the device it will cause the audio system on which disables the alarm.
Example:
Set an alarm 6AM for work a week ago with my phone charging overnight (typical usage). Someone sends me a text at 1AM in the morning, triggering the sound system to turn on. Alarm does not go off at 6AM because the sound system is on.
This has occurred numerous times and now I find that I don't even bother charging the phone when I sleep in fear of being late to work. I've missed work many times because of this failed alarm, and just recently figured out why this was happening.
Problem #2: The glue holding the remote holder magnet has ceased to function and my magnet plate just comes off. My remote sits on top of the alarm now.
Problem #3: When you snooze your alarm, this raises the dimmer level also. This causes frustration as my dimmer levels are always different everyday.
Problem #4: The LCD panel can only be seen if you are looking down at the product. This was a minor inconvenience for me, as I just raised the level of the product.
Problem #5: The LCD's lowest setting is too bright for nighttime.
This product has been a very frustrating experience and has placed a negative light on the iLuv brand. I am past my return period and have just submitted a support ticket at iLuv's website. Will keep this review updated to see what happens.

Myine Electronics IR001 WiFi Internet Radio Adaptor Review

(More customer reviews)This little internet radio device is jumping-up-and-down cool! Five minutes after opening the box I was listening to a newscast from France (in French, course) then jazz from Australia, rock from Iceland and later opera and classical music from Italy. How cool is that?
The device doesn't have any speakers of it's own, but comes with and RCA jack that you connect to your receiver, TV, boom box or even a little clock radio. There's an adapter included with a smaller plug for the later. There's a little LCD screen that you operate with a small remote control that's also included. The first thing I did after I connected it to my receiver was to turn it on and go through the menu and set the date and time and hook up to my home WiFi network. It came with a manual which is very well written and understandable, but I didn't even need it. When I clicked on "Network" the name of my WiFi network popped up, I selected it in the menu, entered the password, and it connected in about 15 seconds and it was ready to go. It was super easy. And since it uses Wi-Fi to connect, you don't need a computer. This goes directly to your receiver.
The IRA is classy looking, even though it's made of plastic. I posted some photos of it. I set mine of top of the Blu-ray player in my stereo cabinet. The display screen is easy to read and the menus easy to navigate. You can search by country, genre of music, stations, or new or popular stations. There is an automatic software update feature through the Wi-Fi network or you can check yourself to see if there are any updates available. It also has volume control on the remote.
The sound is crystal clear and since I connected it to our home theater system, I could hear the bass booming out through the subwoofer and music through all the speakers. I also tried it with the adapter, plugged into a little clock radio and that worked fine too. Connected to the receiver the stations I've listened to so far were CD quality. I could imagine this at a Caribbean themed party, playing reggae music directly from that part of the world, or a romantic French dinner with music from France. No matter what your taste in music, there is something here for everyone. And if you're learning a foreign language, what better way than to listen to a newscast from that country?
I love this thing! It's a great addition to our home entertainment system.

Memorex Mi9490P High-Fidelity Sound System for iPod/iPhone (Black) Review

(More customer reviews)Looked for a iPhone radio/bedside cradle for a month without finding anything that I really liked. Finally I started shopping at brick and mortar stores, when I came across this model I wondered why I hadn't seen it before on Amazon, well, turns out that it was on Amazon, but without any ratings, it was at the bottom of the search results.
As a dock: Charges and holds my iPhone and doesn't have any speaker buzz YAY! Comes with a couple of bases for other apple ipods. Has an auxillary input in the back, which is perfect for hooking up any other audio device (I use it for my wife's iPhone which uses the standard iPod charger. Sits on top, which isn't my favorite, but nothing is perfect.
As a radio: Nothing special here, just your standard radio, but it has digital FM radio (not HD) and something like 30 presets.
As a sound system: 30 watts RMS power output doesn't really mean anything, but in "at-home use", this system is quite sufficient. I don't often listen to music at a high volume, but at the same time I wouldn't use it for a party. Has some equalizer presets, which seem to work well.
Functionality: Easy to figure out the functions, alarm etc., CD player works well.
iPhone: When using the iPod app, it pulls the data from the iPhone and displays it on the screen. This is a cool feature.
Bedside use: The display can be dimmed which makes it much easier to go to sleep. This was a deal making feature for me because it's intended use was bedside. The remote works well, and comes with a battery. It must be in the same room to use, but this is pretty standard for remotes.
Overall: It does what it should and looks good too.
UPDATE: (11/11/2010) The cd player started to skip one year after use. This is not really a problem due to the almost exclusive use of radio and iPhone/iPod, but still something to consider if you plan on using the cd player a lot. Some music apps on the iPhone don't output using the cradle and you are forced to use the aux cord to play them. I wasn't bothered by this until I observed it was possible on the Memorex MiniMove Boombox for iPod. Perhaps it has to do with being iPhone capable...

The switch only moves about a half a millimeter and can be tricky to deal with. Also, the door MUST BE on track with the wall that has the magnet sensor on it. I have a very nontraditional home and it gave me some troubles. The alarm is very loud and would definitely be a deterrent for someone that is looking to break in.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this unit from eLoofa Imports a few weeks ago, and I simply love it! Simple all-in-one package, easy to set-up, totally love the functions.
The main difference between these units and the others out there is that you can record all four cameras at the same time... I guess the other DVR systems can only record one camera at a time.. I was pleasantly surprised with this units' real time capabilities and quality of video and audio. Good product for everyone, thanks!

Memorex Travel Speaker System for iPod with carrying case Review

(More customer reviews)This could be so much nicer with a bit more engineering. It has a pretty good sound for the small size, but not too much better than typical laptop speaker sound quality. My two big complaints are 1) the little clock display is way too bright, it lights up a dark room enough to where I can read! And it is only a clock, no alarm (which might have justified the clock). It needs to have a brightness adjustment or option to turn off. Problem 2) is that the volume buttons aren't very fine tuned, each press jumps the volume up/down by a huge margin which makes it impossible to get the volume you really want. I came up with a workaround to this problem, I got a short male-to-male audio cable and plugged one end into the ipod jack and the other end into the line-in jack on the back of the unit. I can now adjust the volume using the ipod volume control in conjunction with the volume control buttons on the unit. At least it does keep the ipod charged.

Skylink AD-433S Emergency Dialer Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this from the Home Security Store (a company to avoid if you appreciate quality customer service!) and it seemed to install and set up quite easily. I was surprised how easy it was to program. I wish it would take a longer outgoing message but it is limited. My suggestion is to just give your name and address and a SHORT message or you'll run out of time. It took me almost 10 times to record a message, and finally I had to WRITE my message and READ IT really fast. At first it would not dial when triggered. This was due to being hooked up inline with my cable modem and computer line. After several experiments I finally got it to work. What I had to do was hook up BOTH phone lines in the unit to a splitter! Otherwise it would not dial. I found it does work as it should. BUT, as with ALL SkyLink products I've purchase, I get DAILY false alarms!! I'm STILL trying to figure out the false alarm issue. Even with the motion sensors turned off I still get false alarms. But hey, it calls my cell phone when triggered. Only thing is how frustrating it is to drive all the way across town to check on my house only to find out it was yet another false alarm. Gee, I distinctly recall the old fable about the boy who cried wolf! After too many false alarms dialings, no friend or neighbor will ever respond if I'm out of town.
Not sure if I would recommend this or not. If I never had a false alarm dialing sent to my cell phone I would highly recommend it. But until I remedy the false alarm issue, I can only say it is worth the low price but not worth much more.
About the best thing about it is that it is triggered by ALL sensors and triggers used with other SkyLink alarms, AND the fact that it can be used alone or with the alarm on. So, you need not set the alarm unit for this dialer to work.

I was a little hesitant because of the price point and lack of details on the product's capabilities but after I received and installed it, it ROCKS! Much better than the Bulldog at about 40% less. I have basic installation experience but you don't even need that to install this thing if you can follow instructions carefully.
If you're looking for the best bang for your buck and you don't care about the crazy bells and whistles that come with the latest whizbang keyless entry systems, this is the best value out there.
