(More customer reviews)We purchased this to put by our baby's bedside so we could play music via MP3 for her while she sleeps. We just used it the first time tonight for music, set it on a classical station, and set the volume low. An hour or so after our daughter was asleep, she woke up crying. When i went to check on her, i noticed no music playing, and the screen was blank - the numbers were no longer lit. i reached over to press a button to see if (for some strange reason) the numbers would appear after pressing one. At that point, i noticed the entire clock/radio was EXTREMELY HOT! Then i noticed that it smelled like melting plastic. Please, for your own safety, and the safety of your home and families, DO NOT PURCHASE this particular clock radio. Even if my unit was the only one that has ever had this problem, i don't think it's worth the risk.
