(More customer reviews)I bought this keypad to go along with the Skylink SC-001 alarm panel I purchased. It lets you place an additional keypad for easier arming/disarming without having to get to the main panel. So far it has functioned perfectly and I have no complaints with the operation of the unit, especially since it's wireless and looks nice and clean.
I do have a couple wishes for future upgrades to this unit that would make it more functional, although I'm sure it would add to the cost a bit. Anyway, here they are:
-the Keypad Control (KP-434) should show the armed/disarmed status of the alarm. It only has two lights: "Low Battery" and "On". The only time the "On" light comes on is when you are using the keypad.
-the keypad keys should be backlit when you are using it. This might make the battery life shorter however, but it would be a nice feature.
Other than that, I have no issues and highly recommend this product.
