GE 45136 Choice-Alert Wireless Alarm Siren Review

GE 45136 Choice-Alert Wireless Alarm Siren

I installed the whole system - doors, motion sensor and extra siren. I bought the second siren because I did not think that the sound level was adequate. Even with two sirens working, and one mounted with only window glass and the outside, you still cannot hear it from even a short distance away. The alarm system is loud enough for the inside of the house, but it will not allert a neighbor, which was a feature that I was looking for. Other than that, the system works as advertised and is ease to set up and install.

The GE 45136 Choice Alert Wireless Alarm Siren is an alarm that you can add to your Choice Alert Security system for greater sound coverage. It is ideal for larger homes, sheds, detached garages, business properties, or places where your Choice Alert Alarm cannot be heard. Featuring plug-and-play installation with no wiring required, the alarm siren communicates with your system's Wireless Control Center, emitting a 130-decibel alarm when the security system has been breached.
Convenient indicator lights ensure that you always know the alarm's status.Note: This product must be used with the GE 45129 Wireless Control Center or with the GE 45142 Wireless Control Center plus Window/Door Sensor Kit (each sold separately). The GE 45136 Alarm Siren can work alongside other wireless Choice Alert components as part of a GE Choice Alert Wireless Alarm System.
Part of the GE Choice Alert Wireless Alarm SystemThe GE 45136 Alarm Siren is part of the GE Choice Alert Wireless Alarm System line of products. Cost-effective and easy to install, Choice Alert components offer wireless operation, multi-zone coverage, home and away settings, all-weather function, and expandability for complete home protection.
With wireless capabilities, Choice Alert products require no complicated wiring, drilling or expensive installation costs. And because they are designed to be part of a self-contained system, there are no monthly usage charges. System components are simple enough for anyone to use, and they can be combined to provide a customized blanket of protection over your entire property.
Wireless Control Center for Device MonitoringThe entire Choice Alert Security System is designed around the Wireless Control Center, the system's hub. The Control Center monitors every sensor that is wirelessly connected to it. As many as four sensors can be programmed in each of four zones, giving you the security of up to 16 sensors to guard your entire home.
The Wireless Control Center allows you to secure your system with a custom four-digit code that can be changed at any time. Plus, the center lets you control many system features. For example, you can select 'Home' mode for an instant alarm and 'Away' mode for a delayed alarm. In addition to the armed alarm system, the Control Center also offers a visible and audible Zone Notification alert system (with a choice of continuous alert or single chime mode) and a dedicated alert zone (Zone 4). The center wirelessly transmits and receives signals up to 150 feet.
Additionally, the Wireless Control Center features a low-battery indicator that will alert you when battery power is low in a specific zone, so you'll know exactly when to replace the batteries in every one of your components.
Combine Components for Total Home CoverageTo complement the Alarm Siren, there are several components available for use with the Wireless Control Center, including a door/window sensor, motion detector, water leak sensor, signal repeater (for enhanced wireless range), garage door sensor, and Silent Alert LED indicator. Add up to 16 sensors and give yourself the peace of mind that only complete home protection can provide.
Greater Sound Coverage with No Wiring RequiredThe GE 45136 Choice Alert Alarm Siren adds a 130-decibel alarm to your system for greater coverage of your backyard, second or third floor, basement, garage, storage shed, and more. The Alarm Siren will operate within 150 feet of your Wireless Control Center, making it ideal for expansive areas of your home. And you can add as many Alarm Sirens to you Choice Alert Security System as you please.
Installation is easy thanks to the siren's plug-and-play design--simply plug the Alarm Siren's AC adapter into a standard electrical outlet, pair it with the Wireless Control Center, and mount it in wood or drywall using the included screws. The siren features battery backup for continual operation during a power outage and a battery-life indicator.
The GE 45136 Choice Alert Alarm Siren is backed by a one-year limited warranty.

Zlive Speaker System and Docking Station for Zune (Black) Review

Zlive Speaker System and Docking Station for Zune (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I received a Zune for Christmas, which is what I wanted (I'm not an 'Apple' person), and bought this to use my mp3 player at work. Essentially, the unit sounds and looks good, but it doesn't connect 100% to the Zune and has to be plugged and replugged until it works. The most frustrating thing is that the remote only works when it chooses to, which is about half the time! I put a new battery into it, hoping to alleviate the problem, but it didn't. Now, I simply don't use the remote; I get too frustrated wondering whether or not it's going to work this time!
The sound quality is good. I use it in an office, so I don't have it cranked up to maximum, but it does what I bought it for. I just wish they hadn't even included a remote it the darn thing wasn't dependable.
WELL, (Jan. 30) it's been sent back to the company for a week now. It is completely unusable. If the unit is repaired or replaced and sent back to me in a timely manner, I will raise my rating to a five, because costumer service counts for something. If I don't get a response or satisfaction, I'll drop the rating to a 1 for the small consolation that will provide. At least it will serve as a warning to others. We'll see what they do.
OKAY! I received a NEW Zlive Speaker System to replace the malfunctioning one I returned and this one works exactly as I hoped! It's a very nice system! I might've gotten a lemon the first time around, but I'm impressed with how this thing functions now that I have a good one! The remote is simple to use (don't put a Pepsi can between it and the system) and works every time. The sound is not gigantic, fill-the-room-with-wall-to-wall-music bold, but it's simply perfect for the office environment in which I use it. I tried to change the rating from 3 stars to 5 because of the prompt, courteous service the company exhibited in making things right, but it won't let me. In any case, even with my false start, I recommend the Zline.

Master Lock 4841DATSEN Auto Sentry Wireless Anti-Theft Vehicle Alarm System Review

Master Lock 4841DATSEN Auto Sentry Wireless Anti-Theft Vehicle Alarm System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
Update 16/11/2009: Died in October 2009 for no apparent reason. Luckily enough I got it replaced and will give it a second chance, the new one is working as of November 2009 and I will update the review if anything unaccepted happens.
Update 18/07/2010: Replacement still gong strong (knock on wood)
A products that does exactly what its supposed to do. :)
I have had it (2-3 months ago), and couldn't be happier.
Reasons behind the purchase:
-----------------------------
- I didn't get it to deter any theft attempt, we all know that if any needs to get into a car, he will be in, out and away before the $5xx viper draws enough attention.
- Any ways, the reason I bought this was because of a couple "hit and run" I had during the past year, lousy drivers denting/scratching the side of my parked car at the grocery parking lots and just leaves. I installed this for the hope that it draws someones attention just enough to get the plates of the offender.
Bang for buck:
---------------
Even the most basic installation for a conventional alarm, that's without hocking up the windows, power locks or installing a hood/trunk sensor would cost at 2-3 times the price of this unit.
If you don't want the car to be driven away, then an immobilizer is the way to go, again costs so much to install. although same company has a brilliant idea about remotely activated starter relay. Master Lock Starter Sentry Vehicle Anti-Theft System
Oh, not to mention the $4 yearly discount on vehicle insurance. ;)
Security:
----------
And for those asking "if someone has broken into your car, what's to stop them from unplugging the sensor and throwing it out the window? Or popping the hood and ripping the alarm away from the battery?"
Here is what I think:
- Once triggered the siren wouldn't stop without the fob unit unless disconnected from the battery.
- This alarm should be triggered by any voltage drop as well.
- Can't we make the same "rip the alarm away from the battery" about any other more pricier alarms ?
Convenience:
-------------
If you know the way around your car (that how to connect/disconnect your battery wires) it would take around 10-15 minutes. If its your first time under the hood, I would give it a 30-45 minutes max.
Setting Sensitivity:
---------------------
One more issue is how to set the sensitivity, there is a useless side screw on the sensor, forget about it. The proper method is posted on masterlock's website.
Taking the test:
----------------
I have a Camry'99, which I can claim a bigger than typical car, sensor in the cabin is a pressure sensor, it highly depends on how big is your car. By default it didn't fully work for my Camry (just banging the front doors used to trigger it), after fob sensitivity setting opening my trunk would trigger it.
At highest sensitivity setting, I can't even get it to arm if its raining, because the sensor senses the droplets on the body of the car (tells you about how sensitive it is), medium sensitivity should work no problem.
Cons:
------
Why is it losing a star ? first documentation is as good as non existing, especially on how to set the sensitivity. Second, this would be perfect is it was 2 way (fob beeps to let you know alarm was triggered).
Final thoughts:
----------------
This is a variable sensitivity, cabin pressure sensor that lives to the promise. Better know what to expect rather than getting disappointed.

Memorex Dual Alarm Clock Radio for iPhone/iPod Review

Memorex Dual Alarm Clock Radio for iPhone/iPod
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I'd been primarily looking for a speaker/charging dock for my new iPhone. However, when my alarm clock began acting up, I took the opportunity to look for a new one that was iPhone compatible.
I initially purchased an Emerson iC2196 iPod Dock Alarm Clock Radio. It was quickly returned to Big Box Store for refund. Not only was it not actually compatible with the iPhone (my bad), it was a real piece of junk!
After some research, I decided to try this radio. At twice the price, I had high hopes that it would be 'the one'. Well, I couldn't be more pleased. The following things highlight the pros and cons of the unit so far.
Pros:
1. Alarms are easy to set and customize.
2. Alarm can be set to Radio, iPod (iPhone), or Line In.
3. Alarm volume level is adjustable.
4. Comes with a very easy to follow, yet thorough, instruction manual in both English and Spanish.
5. Radio presets are easy to set and use.
6. With five brightness levels, the display won't keep you up at night.
7. Includes Sleep and Nap functions.
8. Snooze button is huge so you don't have to open your eyes to locate it.
9. Despite it's relatively small size, the unit has beautiful sound that you don't generally get out of alarm clocks.
Cons:
1. The included remote is pitifully small and it is not intuitively obvious how to use it.
2. Contrary to another review, the alarm cannot be set to a single day. Options include 7 days, weekdays, or weekends.
3. Unit does not remember what track to play from iPod/iPhone. You must turn on the alarm, power the clock unit off, and set the track on your iPod/iPhone you want to wake to before docking it. This can be a more tedious process late at night than it's worth.
4. Similarly, if you want to go to sleep listening to one playlist, you will have to use that playlist to wake to.
5. You have to power the unit off to set the nap feature. Don't forget to turn it back on!
Bottom line:
I'm impressed. This unit is feature rich without being too complicated to use. And the price is very good for what you get. It gets four stars instead of five because I wish each feature had it's own button instead of a set/preset and sleep/nap button.

Con - There's no automatic setting to turn off the alarms on the weekend, so if you forget to turn the alarm off on Friday, you'll be waking up early on Saturday!

iLuv iMM173 Alarm Clock and Dual Dock for iPod and iPhone (Black) Review

iLuv iMM173 Alarm Clock and Dual Dock for iPod and iPhone (Black)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
The features of this product are great...the problem is the clock constantly freezes and/or locks up. Twice the alarm did not go off because the clock had frozen. I returned the product for a replacement thinking maybe I got a dud. Well the replacement does the same thing. So I emailed the company to see what could be done. Three suggestions were given:
1. Make sure you are using the iPhone dock adapter (well duh)
2. Turn the power off before inserting the phone (well ok but not sure how this would help the clock freezing in the future...it wasn't freezing when I was putting the phone in).
3. Power cycle the clock to reset...(ok I do this EVERY time it freezes).
So bottom line works great to listen to music...but if you need a clock or an alarm (which is probably why you are looking at an ALARM CLOCK) then this is unreliable and completely useless...just like the company's support.

Philips DCM250 Docking Entertainment System Review

Philips DCM250 Docking Entertainment System
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I received my Philips DCM250 and have been nothing but impressed by this unit. Right out of the box, it's a gorgeous piece. Very sleek and very modern. The scrunched up photograph on the page does it no favors whatsoever, so make sure you look at the larger image. It took me no more than a few minutes to get the unit set up in my bar room and it was off to the races with my iPod.
The sound quality immediately blew me away. This unit sounds fantastic. It's got two large, ported speakers that produce the full spectrum really well. What I really noticed was how much punch the little unit could throw behind bass. It's incredible. It doesn't quit at high volumes either, it fills the largest room of my house with enough sound that it starts to resonate off the walls creating a pseudo-surround effect without any distortion whatsoever.
I chose to navigate to whatever album I wanted to listen to using my iPod wheel and just turning back to what I was doing. You can't really read the iPod screen from far enough away to bother trying to control it's playback with the remote. What the unit does do though that's special is it has full video support. You can plug it directly into your TV via component cables that are included to get a large screen and full video playback.
It has a ton of playback sources. Along with the iPod it has AM/FM radio support that can be boosted with included external antennas, it plays CDs including discs that are loaded with MP3 files and it has an Aux input and a dedicated USB input. I tested the USB input with my Sandisk Sansa Clip and was able to get playback from it also once I played with the USB mode on the Sansa. If you have a device and you want to plug it into this, there's an input for it.
I really recommend this unit. It is easily the finest iPod dock that I have ever touched in this price range.

When it comes to my car and my home, I just feel more comfortable having a form of security. I went to see about getting a alarm at several shops in my town and found that I would have had to spend over $200 dollars for an alarm, and that don't count installation. The tech I spoke to specifically mentioned Clifford as a option for the type of options that I wanted, and even though I had to get it installed I still paid less than I would have for a lesser product. Well worth the money, don't buy anything that doesn't have simialar technology or better!!

Logitech Alert 750i Indoor Master - HD-quality Security System(961-000329) Review

Logitech Alert 750i Indoor Master - HD-quality Security System(961-000329)
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've been trying to set up a remote monitoring system for a while now, and have experimented with a few different solutions including webcams and other stand-alone cameras. The same problems problems occur over and over:
- When the router gets rebooted, invariably you can't connect to the camera without going back and fixing some part of the configuration.
- Remote viewing through dynamic IP addresses is flaky, and many DDNS solutions don't work very well. And do you really want a static IP address just for this?
- You need a computer switched on near the camera, or a web-server that the camera can stream to. That's somewhat awkward.
- The image quality is so-so, and tends to be good enough to see a person entering a room, but hard to identify who it is.
I'm pleased to say that the Logitech Alert system beats any of the others I've tried hands-down, and it's clearly designed with absolute simplicity in mind, together with the need to connect with the camera system remotely without a degree in network engineering.
Everything is provided in the box, including various mounts, network cables and software. It took more time to individually unwrap each component than connect it together - the whole system was live in under 5 minutes. The software updates itself in seconds, and even setting up user accounts on their website took no time at all. In terms of positioning the camera, it's possible to place it on a stand, screwed to a wall, or attached to a window using the suction cup provided.
This package does several things (very) well:
- The software is extremely simple to use, yet offers some bells and whistles such as motion alerts by email, live recording and playback, and basic controls such as zoom. It's also written in English, and you'd be surprised how many other systems are not.
- It handles Internet disconnection gracefully with an on-board SD card, and doesn't need any user action to help it 'remember' any IP settings.
- Talking of IP settings, these are all under the hood so you can be blissfully unaware of how it works - which is such a major benefit that I'd buy this package for this alone.
- Viewing remotely through a desktop browser in another location is as simple as visiting the website and logging in.
- Viewing from a smartphone is even better. I used their free Android app, and the speed and quality surpassed my expectations.
- The audio broadcast is very clear.
- Adding additional cameras is straightforward, although you have to make sure your Internet bandwidth is capable of supporting the number of cameras you need.
- You can switch off the LED lights that might give away the location of the unit - what a nice touch.
But this package is NOT:
- A completely wireless solution: the camera connects to an outlet unit and communicates to your router with another outlet unit. Although wiring is really minimal, there is always the one cable needed on the camera side.
- A replacement for a multi-camera professional system - though it comes close, and for a fraction of the price might suffice for some commercial users.
- A way to spy on your neighbor's license plates across the road - why would you anyway?
Still, even with those caveats it's a remarkably good solution if you want to view a location remotely with a minimum of hassle.

So easy to set & price is right. Radio works good too.
2 seperate alarms, radio or beep. Time is correct out of the box - that's the only "automatic time set" in play here - -1 star for the "automatic time set" which isn't really... Battery backup built in - not a 9v, aaa or aa...looks like it will last - round, flat battery of some type like a watch battery, only larger.
3 settings for display. The lowest is dim enough not to bother me and the highest is fairly bright - low is tough to see in full daylight..
Good value here IMHO. Would buy again ....

I was looking for an IPOD dock and found so much more in this little stereo system. I couldn't find any reviews on this but I own other Panasonic products and thought I'd give it a try and am glad I did. It has a recharging dock/player for an IPOD or IPhone, a CD player, a radio and a clock! Its sleek and good-lookin', small enough to fit on my dresser but has the power to send music throughout my second floor. I'm very picky when it comes to sound and was kind of worried that since I didn't spend over $100 that I wasn't going to be able to find something with great sound but this doesn't disappoint! Clear and crisp - I've heard layers of music on this that I don't hear from my bigger, much more expensive stereo system. This is a great little multi-tasker!

Gorilla Automotive 8007 Motorcycle Alarm with Remote Transmitter Review

Gorilla Automotive 8007 Motorcycle Alarm with Remote Transmitter
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I did a lot of research before buying an alarm for my second bike, searching reviews on MC web sites.
I wanted a quality made product, easy to install in cramped motorcycle spaces, and one that had tilt, shock, and electrical circuit change alarm triggering features. I was NOT interested in gimicky pager features, either one way or two way, and wanted to avoid any form of bulky transmitter gear to put in my motorcycle clothing pockets.
This alarm is made in Japan, has excellent ENGLISH documentation, an excellent warranty, and real human beings on the customer support line that are experts. I spoke with these folks with some questions before purchasing this alarm, getting right through on the telephone with no voice menus. I got good, informed answers from a real expert.
Packaging is excellent, and Amazon had it to me in two days. The installation was extremely simple, with only two wires to connect to the battery terminals, and lots of length to all quality connections and wiring. The compact size of the alarm made for easy location under the seat, and I put the LED warning light at the rear of the bike, although for the installation challenged the LED does NOT have to be installed for the alarm to function.
I was surprised in completing installation in less than 20 minutes, and then it was time to test and configure the alarm according to the included manual. That was a simple 5 minute process, and the test of the single chirp (warning, don't touch me), the shock alarm, and the tilt alarm (for when a thief moves the bike upright from the side stand) all worked flawlessly.
I can't recommend this alarm enough. If you later decide you want to add a pager feature, you simply purchase that device and plug it in to "upgrade" your alarm.

Logitech Alert 750e Outdoor Master Security System with Night Vision Review

Logitech Alert 750e Outdoor Master Security System with Night Vision
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
First of all the SETUP is very easy. The on screen prompts will take you though the steps.
1.Install the software.
2.Plug the master network adapter into the power outlet and plug the Ethernet cable into your router
3.Plug the camera into power outlet and click yes to update firmware (adapters and camera).
NOTE: Do not unplug the camera or the master adapter during the update.
Wow that was easy. It took less than 15 minutes to get the system up and running.
PICTURE QUALITY
The picture quality is great during daylight hours but not so great at capturing clear pictures of moving objects in total darkness. However in my case I have a flood light with motion detector that comes on when someone enters the area at night making the video bright and clear.
MOTION DETECTION
What I like is that you can draw areas on the actual image from the video camera to trigger recording. In other words you can eliminate false recordings from cars going by or movement outside your property.
You set up each camera individually providing ultimate flexibility in alerts, sensitivity and recording. In addition, once you have created a LogitechAlert account, you can select which cameras triggers an email alert.
EMAIL ALERTS
You set the LogitechAlert account up from the Settings Menu (the gearwheel icon).
From here you can enter several email addresses. I have mine set to send a text to my cell phone (as I don't have a smart phone with email and web access).
Most cell phone providers offers an email address starting with your cell phone number that will be forwarded to you as a text message.
Please look the email address up on your providers web page. I can not put them up due to Amazon posting regulations.
You may get charged for each text by your cell phone provider so make sure to set the Alert Frequency and Motion Filter conservatively (from within the Settings Menu - Alerts-Advanced).
As mentioned above, I have not received one false alarm although my system is still set using the default values.
RECORDING WITH PC TURNED OFF - THIS IS A GREAT FEATURE.
The camera(s) stores all motion triggered activity regardless if you have the PC on or off. To review all recorded activity, start the PC and click the "Enter Playback Mode" icon. A very intuitive calendar and timeline shows up indicating recordings. Point to a time and click on play to see the activity.
UPDATE:
You can review/playback history from only the dedicated PC on your network.
Logitech suggests not loading the software on more than on PC on the network.
If you do, you can only watch live video but review/playback will not work from the other PC's (also unexpected results may occur).
NOTE: You can view the real time images from anywhere on the web with the free Logitech Web Alert Viewer. To get full control with playback via a remote PC you must purchase the Logitech Web and Mobile Commander for an annual fee* of $80 (at the time of this writing).
Unless...
You keep a PC turned on all the time and control it from any PC (or web enabled phone) on the web using Teamviewer or LogMeIn (both are free for private use - you can download the programs from Cnet.com). Then you can access the Logitech Alert Commander interface as you normally do from home.
UPDATE 1: I am using the free version of LogMeIn and it works great. The only disadvantage is that you can not hear audio from the home computer. But you can see the live video feed and use playback along with camera adjustments etc. Actually you can operate your home computer just as if you were sitting in front of it. You can access it from work or anywhere in the world via the internet.
UPDATE 2: I have now used both remote programs for over a month. Logmein appear to be unreliable with respect to video quality. TEAMVIEWER IS THE WINNER (To get perfect video quality: select "View", "Optimize Quality" from the TeamViewer screen on the remote computer).
Cost for leaving your home computer on all the time.
The cost for a 40 Watts consumer** 24 hours per day, 365 days per year = $35/year at $0.10 per kWh.
However, LogMeIn allows you to use "Wake Up On LAN" so you can turn your home computer on from the remote computer (Too much to cover here).
* Come on Logitech!!! Reduce it to a $50 one time fee and sell more systems to happier customers.
** One UPS manufacturer estimates 40 watts power consumption from an entry level desk top with a 20 LCD monitor. Turn the monitor off and bring the cost down even more. Also set the hard drive to turn off if not in use via Windows "Power Options Interface". You may also be able to set the home computer to "Wake up on LAN".
INSTALLATION OF THE CAMERA'S POWER/DATA ADAPTER IN THE ATTIC
First of all I wanted to hide the wire to the camera.
Logitech's instructions show the power/data wire going from the camera to a power outlet on the side of the house.
Consequently a thief can easily unplug the camera.
Solution
Pull an extension cord from a power outlet in the attic (or somewhere else) and connect it to the grey power supply/adapter for the camera.
IT WORKS!!!
I know Logitech Customer Service had told another reviewer "The adapters CANNOT be installed in the attic".
Logitech may be concerned about high attic temperatures present in some climates.
My attic does not get very hot; in addition I mounted the adapter just above the lower perimeter soffit vent where outside air constantly flows in.
The power/data Ethernet cable to the exterior camera (mounted under the roof overhang) is now routed through the soffit to the camera adapter in the attic.
Drill a 9/16" (14 mm) hole to allow the Ethernet plug to pass through the soffit. Mount the power adapter over the soffit vent with the power cable coming out at the top as shown in Logitech's instructions.
NOTE: I used a 100 foot grounded heavy duty extension cord plugged into a grounded power outlet. I don't know if using a grounded outlet and grounded extension cord matters because none of the adapters are equipped with grounded plugs. You may not need a heavy duty cord as the camera adapter uses very little power.
PREVENT BLACKOUT DURING POWER OUTAGES USING A UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
I still want the surveillance system to work during power outages or if the power line to the house is cut.
The Manual tell you it will not work if you use a surge protector or UPS.
Solution
I already have the cable modem and the wireless router plugged into an APC BN600R Battery Backup (UPS), so all I had to do was to plug the black Logitech network adapter into the UPS and pull an extension cord from the UPS to the grey Logitech camera adapter. All the equipment is fed from a single UPS.
IT WORKS!!!
The disadvantage is that you have to pull extension cord(s) from the UPS to the camera adapters. In my case it was not a problem because the extension cord would drop down from the attic between the studs in one of the walls to where I have my router.
I am sure you can use a higher capacity UPS as long as ALL your Logitech adapters are connected to it.
SOUND/AUDIO
Out of the box there was no audio from the camera.
Solution
To turn the sound on:
1) Un-mute from the Command screen (slider at the right hand bottom) and
2) Click on Settings (gearwheel icon) and click on the camera name (your camera(s) will be listed by the name you give them during setup "Entry way", "Hall way" etc.)
Then check the box Enable Audio (after accepting the legal notice).
Note: If you have more than one camera, you have to Enable Audio for each one.
GOOD QUALITY PRICE RATIO
Overall I will rate the Logitech 750e a quality system for the money. As an alternative, you can purchase professional systems that will cost thousands of $ but is unlikely that they have the remote access this system has.
Perhaps Logitech have "beefed up" the mounting hardware for the camera. My hardware is rigid and of good quality. Another reviewer had problems with the hardware.
(I tightened and pre-adjusted the holder/adapter and added a drop of Locktite (blue) to the threads prior to installation. It is easier done on the ground as compared to the top of a 15 foot ladder).
UPDATE: The mounting plate is covered with a rubber cover. You have to tighten the holder rod FIRMLY to the base to ensure a rigid mount (or else the camera will wiggle).
Also, one of the cameras would turn freely no matter how hard the thumbscrew was tightened. It turned out that there is a phillips screw hiden inside the short rod which is being clamped by the thumbscrew assembly. The phillips screw was loose. Simply remove the thumbscrew completely to take the assembly apart. Then tighten the phillips screw and put it back together.
Logitech, QA/QC you need to address this issue. This is probably why so many people are complaining about the camera mount.

iLive CD and Radio Home Music System with Docking and Recharging Station for iPod (Black) Review

iLive CD and Radio Home Music System with Docking and Recharging Station for iPod (Black)
Average Reviews:

I saw in a previous review that the 3rd generation IPOD wouldn't play on their system. Just got the 3rd generation and it plays fine. My daughter got this as a Christmas gift and loves it. I looked everywhere for a system that served as an IPOD dock and had a CD player in the $50 range. Very hard to find. This system fit the bill and she couldn't be happier with it.

STI ED-50 Rex Plus Electronic Watchdog, Barking Dog Alarm Review

STI ED-50 Rex Plus Electronic Watchdog, Barking Dog Alarm
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I've had mine about 6 months. Sure, it takes a bit of time to position it just the way you want; sooo? Big deal if it barks when I'm leaving the house; I just say, "Guard the house." hahaha. Sounds just like a german shephard and scares the mailman.
A cop friend of mine said that it's great for a single person living alone, and no burglar is going to waste their time trying to decide if it IS or if it ISN'T real, when they can go to the next house that DOESN'T have a dog.

What good is a "beware of dog" sign without the big-dog baritone to back it up? Few security systems can match up to the intimidation factor of an angry barking dog - the Rex Plus sees through doors and walls to detect when someone approaches your home and then it barks just like a real German Shepherd. As the interloper (or mail carrier) approaches, the startlingly life-like barking increases in intensity, adding to the realism. The Rex Plus offers an inexpensive, reliable, zero-maintenance, 24-hour protection thats perfect for extended absences. Man's best friendship sold separately.
